Body of Man Found Inside the Wheel Compartment of a Plane Traveling from Morocco to London

An unidentified man was found dead inside the wheel compartment of an Air Arabia aircraft that arrived at London Gatwick Airport from the Moroccan city of Tangier, according to The Independent.

The aircraft, an Airbus A320, arrived at Gatwick Airport on June 16, 2026, before a ground engineer discovered the body while inspecting the wheel compartment after landing.

Investigators determined that the man died from cardiac arrest, oxygen deprivation, and hypothermia, amid the extreme cold and reduced oxygen levels inside the wheel compartment during the flight.

British authorities are still working to identify the man and investigate how he managed to enter the wheel compartment before the flight departed from Tangier.
