**Al-Mustaqilla News** adheres to the following professional code of ethics in its pursuit of journalistic professionalism and the standards it has set for itself:

**1. Compliance with journalistic ethics**, including objectivity in presentation, accuracy and integrity in reporting, and editorial independence, free from considerations that are incompatible with professional journalism.

**2. Commitment to informing the Sahrawi and international public** about matters of interest to them through continuous coverage and monitoring of current events.

**3. Respect for public decency** and avoidance of inflammatory language, personal attacks, or defamation of individuals and institutions in news reports and other journalistic content.

**4. Presenting different viewpoints and opinions** without favoritism or bias toward any of them.

**5. Guaranteeing the right of reply**, acknowledging errors as soon as they are confirmed, taking the initiative to correct them, and making every effort to avoid repeating them.

**6. Showing solidarity with journalists** when they face harassment, intimidation, or risks in the course of their professional duties.

**7. Al-Mustaqilla News is committed to publishing contributions submitted to it**, provided that they comply with the above code of ethics and the following conditions:

* Articles or submissions must be signed with the contributor’s real name or, where necessary, a pseudonym.

* Submissions must not contain personal attacks, defamation, or disparagement of any individual or institution.

* If a contribution has been translated or reproduced from another source, the original source must be clearly acknowledged.
