About the Website
The idea of creating a website or blog began as an initiative aimed at contributing to raising awareness of the just cause of the Sahrawi people and breaking the media blockade imposed on the Sahrawi issue. It soon became a reality on the internet, launching in **2006**, coinciding with the information revolution that was taking place in the Sahrawi media landscape.
At that time, a large number of websites, blogs, and online forums emerged, carrying the concerns of the Sahrawi people and defending their legitimate rights. **Al-Risala** continued its journey despite all the challenges, striving to live up to the purpose for which it was established: raising awareness of the just cause of the Sahrawi people and disseminating useful information that contributes to increasing awareness and promoting the development of Sahrawi society.
We placed ourselves at the service of our community by gathering information and placing it in the hands of our valued readers. The project subsequently developed into a **news agency committed to covering and accompanying the struggle of the Sahrawi people across the various arenas of national action**.

* **Drawing international attention to the reality of exile, displacement, and deprivation experienced by the Sahrawi people**, as a result of the Moroccan occupation, which has divided Sahrawi families and forced many Sahrawis from their homeland.
